Lebanon continues to face escalating insecurity and deteriorating living conditions, with intensified Israeli strikes on the South and Beqaa resulting in 564 deaths, including 133 civilians, and widespread destruction. Alongside physical threats, communities report rising cyber-harassment and online gender-based violence. Syrian refugees remain particularly vulnerable due to discriminatory policies, fear of deportation, and challenges in renewing legal documents. Economic hardship, high inflation, unemployment, and surging school tuition fees have further strained access to basic services. Citizens attribute the deepening crisis to weak governance and the absence of local authorities, while environmental hazards such as unregulated waste burning pose serious health risks. In response, communities call for increased awareness and access to recycling, accurate information on Syrian refugees to combat discrimination, improved legal pathways and protection from eviction, stronger water conservation initiatives, better access to cybercrime reporting, and donor investment in waste management, anti-cyber-harassment campaigns, and solar-powered street lighting to enhance public safety.
